Clearer answers when something needs you

Improvements

  • Deleting a sync now confirms right in the sidebar, so a delete can no longer time out while a dialog waits for you.
  • When a base already has the most live connections Airtable allows, the add-on now says so and explains how to free one, instead of asking you to reconnect Airtable.

Fixes

  • Scheduled syncs set up in an early version no longer fail silently every night; they now run on the current engine.
  • Buttons on a card left open from an older version now return you to the homepage instead of showing an error.

Columns keep up with your base

Improvements

  • A field you add in Airtable now shows up in your sheet without disturbing the formatting you put on your own columns.
  • Renaming a field, or recoloring a select option, updates the sheet in place instead of rebuilding it.
  • The sync card names the columns the last sync added or removed, so a column leaving your sheet is never a surprise.

Fixes

  • Checkbox columns show a tickbox again, rather than the word true.

Improvements

  • Sheet edits on a live two-way sync reach Airtable in seconds instead of waiting for the next run.
  • Each page of a sync writes only the rows it added, and the sheet is formatted in fewer passes, so a large table lands faster.
  • When your Airtable plan's monthly API allowance runs out, syncs pause and tell you, instead of retrying against a limit that will not move until the 1st.
  • Reconnecting to a different Airtable account, or approving fewer bases than before, now names the syncs that lost access and asks what to do with them.
  • The two-way status column stays at the head of the sheet when you switch a sync that already has columns to two-way.

Fixes

  • One failed Airtable request no longer disconnects your account. It takes two in a row, and any successful request resets the count.
  • An Airtable edit to a different field of a row you had just changed in the sheet is no longer dropped.
  • A sheet edit that cannot be delivered right away is retried on the next run instead of being lost.
  • The Airtable plan note on the connect screen recommends a plan rather than blocking the connection.
  • Seats are billed per seat, and your access is read before a trial starts.

Live sync and two-way fixes

Fixes

  • Two-way sync now tracks edits on every synced sheet. With more than one sync in a spreadsheet, changes made on the other sheets were not being pushed back to Airtable.
  • Live updates now land on the matching row instead of adding a second copy of the record.
  • Attachments arriving through a live update are clickable links, matching what a full sync writes.
  • Clearing a checkbox in Airtable now clears it in the sheet.
  • Single-select cells keep their Airtable color when a live update changes them.
  • Formula and rollup fields with an error no longer show raw technical text in the cell.
  • A busy Airtable base no longer stops live sync. It waits and picks up where it left off instead of needing to be switched back on by hand.
